About
My name is Samuel Ellis, a third year student studying music production at BIMM Bristol. My passion for music began at the age of 9 when I first picked up a guitar, sparking a journey of musical exploration that has shaped my life ever since. Through years of dedicated practice and a growing love for music, I delved deeper into the realm of musical expression.
My formal musical education started with studying music at GCSE level, where I developed a strong foundation in theory and performance. This journey continued into A-Level studies, focusing specifically on music technology, which ignited my interest in the technical aspects of music creation. It was during this time that I discovered my true passion for music production, finding joy in the process of crafting soundscapes and bringing musical ideas to life through technology.
As my skills and knowledge grew, I sought opportunities to collaborate and create music with others. This led me to join a psychedelic rock band called Motel Thieves as their guitarist during my time in college. Being part of this band allowed me to explore the intricacies of music creation within a collaborative setting, honing my skills in composition, arrangement, and performance.
As I come to the end of my university studies, I have made this website to showcase some of my work as an aspiring composer, mixing and mastering engineer.
Compostion
As an aspiring library music composer, my focus lies in crafting haunting soundscapes specifically tailored for the horror genre. With a keen understanding of how music can evoke deep emotions, I specialise in creating melancholic compositions that resonate with listeners on a visceral level. As I embark on this exciting journey, I am eager to bring unique musical experiences to life. Below you will find examples of my recent work.
